S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Winter has come and the cold has well and truly set in, so much like the eskimos, it’s time to retreat into our Igloo, the S.A.S.H Igloo! Welcome to “Igloo Season 2”. We’ll be keeping you warm in our huge 12 metre geometric dome (Igloo) that covers the Greenwood Terrace which has been installed thanks to our good friends at Fireball. Our Igloo will protect us from the wind, the rain, and is acoustically perfect thanks to our slick Funktion One rig. Complementing the S.A.S.H Igloo there will be a number of wintery additions on a weekly basis - fire pits surrounding the Igloo to keep us toasty, snowflakes falling upon us, a Fireball shot bar and hot apple pie cider. To get the party started and launch us into our seasonal splendour, we thought it was only appropriate to get rowdy and rabble with crew from Dabble. Founders and bossmen, Caliti, take out top honours with support coming from their best and brightest in JOSS b2b Súave and SANSOM b2b Kreno. Across the bridge and deep into the darkness, we're graced with the presence of Vatos Locos regular Ignacio Morales in the underground playground that is Oxford Art Factory. With Aaron Robins setting the pace and Brazilian bomb-slingers Tezzel and Pol to bring us to a close there is something for everyone. We look forward to seeing you on the dance floor xxx
