S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

We’re not sure why we celebrate All Hallows Eve here in Australia but we’re certainly not against an excuse to go out and get weird and wacky. Basked in our deep red glow, get down to Watson’s EQ for a ghastly and ghoulish afternoon of haunted house music supplied by a selection of Sydney’s spookiest spinners. Leading the charge is a frightening delight, a masked menace yet to be identified, spooky by nature, spooky by name, this spooky guest knows a thing or two about getting down like Charlie Brown. Like the Sun God Ra, Ritmiq and Bligsy have no shortage of warmth to give, they bring the life to any party they’re involved in and set the scene to perfection. Masters of everything unholy, Jason Spyrides & Harrison Saul were last seen setting off on their journey upon headless steeds. It is uncertain at this time whether these harrowed heroes are friends or foe, however we will soon know. Kicking us off, and ensuring the pumpkins are all perfectly prepared, Jasmine has sharpened her knife, ready to slice and dice her way into her S.A.S.H By Day-but. A classy curator, she’s knows a thing or two about delivering veracious vigils and electrifying the airwaves. Across to Carousel and we’re joined by freakishly flavoursome selection of dance floor ejectas, and dangerously debaucherous DJs. Taking out top honours, the terrifyingly tantalising Persian Rug return to the booth, missing limbs and still a little dim. Horrific chat isn’t the only thing on the menu, with Angus Kyle closing out the night you can rest assured that the tunes will be hard, heavy and even a little hot. A light in the darkness, our saviour from the terror, Whitecat is back on home soil after a 3 month hiatus on greener pastures. As always, you bring your dancing shoes, and we’ll provide the rest xx
