S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

He’s got a capital G for groove: Garrett David is here to take control of the courtyard for a fine time in February! The maestro will work his magic at Watson’s EQ for some stellar sunshine action, whilst Ksea paddles down from the Northern Beaches to keep the supply & demand for groove under control within the walls of Carousel. Much like Spiderman, Garrett David swings all over the globe with his infectious groove at the ready, with a spidey sense for dance floors that need an injection of steeze. The Global Swing head honcho is renowned for his impeccable productions, alongside his innate ability to command dancefloors worldwide. He’ll be joined by our very own Dan Baartz, an icon within the scene that has nothing but love for all things party related. Juli Gago makes her way east from Perth as she makes a stop at Watson’s EQ for some fun in the sun. Joel Cavs saddles up with his jockey outfit as he prepares for his S.A.S.H day-but. When the night falls upon us, there’s only one place to go. Carousel gets ready for a raunchy red light session with Ksea in the booth, hot and heavy grooves on the cards. The studio aficionado is back at the club with a copious amount of new tunes to be tried and tested on the funkiest system for 1’s & 2’s. A dynamic duo jumps on the bandwagon for a supportive session to begin the night. Reisper are on microwave duties as they prepare the platters for the man in bold. ZXP places his right foot forward as he joins forces with S.A.S.H’s little egg: Tyler Hudson. This pristine pairing will pepper your ears with underground tunes so good that they're compared to delicacies from around the globe.
