S.A.S.H
S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.
★ S.A.S.H Berlin ★ Sunday 28th May ★ Renate ★
Born from an unrenovated apartment building in Friedrichshain, and known as one of Berlin’s best and most underground nightclubs in town, S.A.S.H teams up with Renate Berlin to bring you a master class of music across 3 rooms with a mixture of our favourite internationals, Berlin locals & Sydney SASH favourites.
★ The Green Room ★ We are excited to have some of our favourite music selectors join us from the heart of Berlin. Alexkid, the former Parisian turned Berliner is lauded by peers and fans alike for his production technique, and infamous on the circuit for his extensive collection of – and near-obsessive relationship with – machines. A respected DJ and much-loved behind the scenes figure, Dorian Paic has done it all. He's best known for his longstanding association with Frankfurt institutions such as Cocoon, Robert Johnson and the now-closed Freebase Records, where he worked for close to a decade. He also runs Raum...musik, a label that's put out around 100 house records from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Christian Burkhardt and Sascha Dive since launching in 1998. As a keen studio hound, Ordell is always jamming and making music, some of which has been released via labels such as Seuil’s Eklo, Discobar, Finest Hour, Hello?Repeat and Half Baked’s own record label. In 2014 he became part of the Lola ED agency, joining an array of underground luminaries and marking an important step forward in his decade-long career. In 2017 he continues to travel around Europe, with a steady flow of releases and a constant desire to channel the soul of jazz, house, and funk music through his Ordell-shaped filter. ★ Dorian Paic ★ ★ Alexkid ★ ★ Robin Ordell ★
★ The Red Room ★ Berlin based DJ Natascha Kann likes to be on the edge, moving freely between genres. Naturally drawn to tracks with thick density and deep subs - swinging stuff to create that specific groove she mentions. She breaks down her style as “pushy house music and groovy techno”: four-to-the-floor might be the main skeleton but breaks and electro play a big part, as does acid and techno too. Natascha also has a weakness for standout vocals, making sure to provide human warmth in sets; connecting to her early music memories; influences from a wide variety of artists she today brings into the mix; letting you hear she is unafraid of fusing styles and taking risks. There are DJs, and then there are DJ’s DJ's. D’Julz is undoubtedly one of the latter - a true craftsman behind the decks whose true strongest skill is his ability to go beyond mere genres and trends, deciding instead to actively shape the ever-changing soundscape of electronic music through his own productions, DJ performances and parties. The driving force behind Australia’s largest and most highly regarded underground house music event – S.A.S.H, 2 decades of experience have brought Kerry to the highest echelons of Djing and promoting. Kerry Wallace will fly both the Aussie & S.A.S.H flag at this edition of S.A.S.H Berlin, as he joins this elite lineup to provide a taste of Australia and the distinct sound that S.A.S.H has carved out. ★ Natascha Kann ★ ★ D’Julz ★ ★ Kerry Wallace ★
★ The Black Room ★ Rick Maia is a DJ with extraordinary technical ability, he has the passion, intelligence, and a profoundly deep, and unmatched, understanding of the dance music environment which makes him a truly exciting prospect. As the booker for all things S.A.S.H internationally, we thought it only fair to let him out of the office to stretch his legs for a night in The Black Room. Hailing from Montevideo, Michelle Vagi commenced her production journey with electronic music in 2015. In the constant search for new sounds, her productions combine different musical styles such as: rock, electro, pop, minimal, house, among others. Her live set is the product of the fusion between programs and different instruments, incorporating various acoustic sounds around the entire session. If you're not a newbie in the never-ending game of beatmatching and scratching, you probably know Valentino doesn't really understand the meaning of words limit, border and purism. He is one of the founding fathers of Slovenian techno, but that never really stops him from throwing one of his gourmet house sets; or anything in between that he finds fresh at the time. ★ Rick Maia ★ ★ Michelle (Live) ★ ★ Valentino Kanzyani ★ —------------------------------------------------------------------ Age 21+.
