JAM HOT (Melbourne/ Naarm) Since debuting in November 2019 JAM HOT has steadily gained a reputation for being one of Melbourne’s premier house music focussed events. Conceived by long time friends and collaborators MBq, Wahl and DJ Swella as a party for friends to spend time together on the dancefloor bonding over a shared love of house music. Initially operating in small bars and late night haunts such as Fiftyfive and Section 8 with local guest selectors and the 3 resident djs. JAM HOT has since found itself in 300 and 500 pax capacity venues such as The Toff In Town, Revolver Upstairs and The Night Cat with international headliners: Gabriele Poso, JKRIV, Marcel Vogel and Toy Tonics. Sonically JAM HOT runs the gamut of house music's history. Showcasing long forgotten sleepers all the way to modern house music and adjacent underground sounds. Dance floors are treated to deeply rooted soulful house, afro and tribal excursions, acid and expansive tech seamlessly interwoven with euphoric disco and boogie. Currently events are running at Music Room and Angel Music Bar with further international headliner events in the works. In the near future the crew will be taking JAM HOT on the road throughout Australia and to a dance floor near you.
