WHO'S IT FOR? Anyone who loves house, techno, electronics and disco, a proper club night, and inner-city culture that leans towards the fringe and beyond. If that's you, come and join us. Not sure? Come and try it anyway :-) THE NIGHT The Infirmary returns for its last party of the year with Ewan Jansen live on stage. It isn't a DJ set: it's a full hardware show of crisp, colourful, groove-heavy house and techno, built and played in real time. Around him, The Infirmary DJs go back to back all night: Chase & Rhys, Dave Clark & Phil PMI, and Trevor Cook & Antique. WHY EWAN JANSEN Ewan cut his teeth in Perth's underground in the early '90s. The Red Ember crew were part of Vibe, the legendary Thursdays at the Greenwich Club beneath His Majesty's Theatre (1986–89). In this era, Ewan's performance debut happened at the Ride the Snake party, produced by The Infirmary crew at Krush Nightclub (now Geisha). So 11 December is a reunion as much as a party and performance. From 1997 Ewan independently released some of the most collectable house, techno and electronica ever made in Australia. Pressed in runs of fewer than 50, those records are now hunted by collectors worldwide. Since then he's released on labels across the UK, Europe, the US and South America, including an album on Mike Grant's Detroit label Moods & Grooves and the 2020 album Island Diary on Melbourne's Butter Sessions. And Red Ember is back, releasing new music. Now based in Naarm (Melbourne), Ewan plays his live show at venues and parties including COIL and Angel Music Bar, sometimes as FLUD. On 11 December he brings it home to Boorloo for one night. WHAT THEY SAY "Easily Australia's classiest contribution to global house and techno." Resident Advisor "A label that developed its own timeless signature deep house style." XLR8R "His sound has stood the test of time like few out there." Inverted Audio "Legendary Perth producer." Butter Sessions "House luminary." Lifeworld, Naarm Tickets are limited, and it's the last Infirmary of the year. Grab yours, then send this to the friends you want on the floor with you. 18+ · On Whadjuk Noongar land
