A soulful singer, commanding ballroom performer, and confident rapper, Coles moves effortlessly across house, hip-hop, and soul, pushing boundaries of genre, gender, and expression. Hailing from Staten Island, he brings an unfiltered, shape-shifting approach to music that challenges conventions placed on queer Black artists and casts them aside. His debut album SweetFaceKillah (Don’t Sleep) showcases this fearless versatility, following collaborations with Joy Orbison, Mella Dee, and Richard Russell’s Everything Is Recorded, plus appearances in Dazed’s cult film Gang.
