Labour Day Long Weekend, Carousel Sydney, DJ SWISHERMAN [ES], FUKHED, Deaf Toucan and dayzzi Gallery kicks off Sydney's long weekend at the city's premiere club Carousel this October 3rd with a multi-headline night. DJ SWISHERMAN is a Spanish DJ and producer whose relationship with music began long before the booth, carrying a Walkman around as a kid and never really putting it down. That instinctive connection has grown into a sound that moves between funk-driven hardgroove, techno and housier shades, always tethered to the energy of 2000s club music. His sets are built on groove, tension and progression, connecting tracks through subtle FX and tight transitions rather than obvious impact. Over recent years he's played RSO and Watergate in Berlin, Basis, Industrial Copera and Rote Sonne, Boiler Room Copenhagen, and dates across Vancouver, San Francisco and Australia including Intercell Melbourne, as well as Jeff Mills' Live at Liquid Room 30 Year Anniversary. Currently resident at Mondo Disko in Madrid, he's released music on Suara, Transition and KAOS. Sydney gets a rare look at one of Europe's most distinct club selectors. Few have grabbed the attention of the Australian club and dance scene quite like FUKHED. Hailing from Brisbane and now based in Sydney, she delivers sets full of relentless techno and late-night melancholia, with mixes for Steel City Dance Discs, BCCO and Project Radio UK, and stages shared with I Hate Models, MCRT, Nia Archives, DJ Heartstring, Skin On Skin and X CLUB. Her singles 'No C No A' and '4303' earned national and community radio rotation, a triple j Unearthed feature and a spot on their Ones To Watch 2025 list, alongside partnerships with AIAIAI Audio, Nike, Umbro and Vans and features in Vogue, Resident Advisor and the cover of Mixmag ANZ. 2025 has brought new single 'Pressure' via French label Tete Vide, debut headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and touring through Japan and South-East Asia, FUKHED continues to cement herself as one of Australia's fastest-rising producers. Emerging from Sydney/Eora, Deaf Toucan are a brotherly DJ and production duo, Sam and Jordy, bringing fresh yet timeless energy to the dance floor. Deeply inspired by the euphoric sounds of early '90s house and prog, their signature style is built on deeply swung, infectious rhythms designed to move a crowd. Their distinctive tracks have already caught the ears of industry tastemakers, with support from X Club, Sam Alfred, Kyle Starkey, Bella Claxton and DART. dayzzi is a Filipino-Australian DJ and multihyphenate selector from Sydney (Eora), known for pushing boundaries through her eclectic collection of global club sounds. Drawing on her South Asian heritage, she weaves together Brazilian funk, breaks, psytrance and tribal techno alongside garage, minimal tech and bellydance influences, creating ethereal, transportive sets. Having played favourites like Lost Paradise, Hazard Fest, Undisclosed, Shelter and Lost Sundays alongside artists including KETTAMA, Surusinghe, Moktar and X-Coast, dayzzi has become a driving force in Sydney's club scene. Four distinct sounds, one long weekend, one night at Carousel - with an extra day to recover, there's no excuse to leave early. Bonus: the clocks go forward too, so you'll get your daylight savings hour back before Tuesday rolls around.
