ERIC DUNCAN AKA DR. DUNKS Eric Duncan, better known as Dr. Dunks, is a defining figure in New York City’s underground disco, house and dance music culture. A DJ, producer, remixer, label owner and party curator, Duncan has spent more than three decades shaping dance floors worldwide with his eclectic musical vision. Originally from Los Angeles, Duncan moved to New York in the mid-1990s, immersing himself in Manhattan’s downtown club scene. Known for adventurous sets spanning disco, house, funk, post-punk, Balearic and leftfield sounds, he quickly established himself as a respected selector. Duncan gained international recognition as one half of Rub-N-Tug alongside Thomas Bullock. Their legendary parties and Campfire series helped reignite interest in disco and eclectic dance music during the early 2000s, earning the duo a devoted global following. In 2006, Duncan formed Still Going with Liv Spencer. Their releases on DFA Records, including Still Going Theme, On And On and Spaghetti Circus, became underground classics and helped define the nu-disco movement. As Dr. Dunks, Duncan has also built an extensive catalogue of edits, remixes and productions, working with artists including Grace Jones, LCD Soundsystem, Roxy Music, Beastie Boys, Bryan Ferry, Coldplay, Groove Armada, The Presets and Todd Terje. Through labels including C.O.M.B.i. and Keep It Cheap, Duncan continues to champion rare grooves, disco edits and forgotten gems. With marathon sets and a genre-defying approach, Dr. Dunks remains one of dance music’s enduring tastemakers. Dr. Dunks joins The Late Show, Revolver’s weekly Saturday night, spread across two rooms. The night starts at Colonel Tan’s before building from 9pm, with the front room moving through Garage, Bassline, Techno and Qgom, while the back bar blends House with Italo, Soca and Afro. Expect sets from Dr. Dunks, Ransom, Lewis CanCut and guests, with Boogs taking over from 7am Sunday.
