S.A.S.H was founded in May 2011, inspired by the Sunday party culture of Chapel Bar in London and created to fill the gap left in Sydney nightlife after the closure of Sounds on Sunday. What began as a niche Sunday afternoon gathering has grown into a weekly institution, helping define Sydney’s recovery-era nightlife for more than 15 years. Despite the theories around its name, S.A.S.H officially stands for nothing. It was inspired by the TV show MAS*H during the naming process, though fans have since created their own meanings, including “Sorry About Sundays, Honey” and “Sunday Afternoon Sunday House.” The brand became known for its Day & Night marathon format, moving from S.A.S.H by Day in The Greenwood Hotel’s open-air sandstone courtyard to S.A.S.H by Night at Home Nightclub on Darling Harbour. In late 2025, S.A.S.H entered a new chapter with S.A.S.H Saturdays at Carousel Bar & Ballroom on Oxford Street, bringing its community energy into the heart of the weekend. Musically, S.A.S.H is strictly dedicated to house, spanning deep, chuggy grooves through to minimal and tech-house, with a strong focus on sound quality and Funktion-One systems. Its culture is built around a no-phones dance floor, relaxed dress code and a loyal community known for going all-in on fancy dress, especially at the annual April birthday parties. Beyond Sydney, S.A.S.H has expanded to Melbourne, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Wollongong, Bali, Ibiza and London, while S.A.S.H Records launched in 2020 as another extension of the brand.

Our dear friend Shonky sticks to a hot landing, ready to arrive at Port Beach Brewery fit & fresh for a night of fruity festivities. No stranger to the spotlight, Shonky will not shy away from digging deep into his whimsical bag of musical treats, ready to showcase them for all to enjoy. With his renowned sound, we welcome him back to the land down under in true Perth fashion. Former S.A.S.H jockey D Verdam makes his return to the stables, since he’s found his feet over the way in Perth, he’s ready to be let off his chain for a night out and about in the town. Extensive experience is what he’s got, no better match than to warm the platters before our esteemed guest. With an impressive run of appearances throughout the town, our openers are ready to jump into the saddle and get things going for a beautiful evening ahead. Flako’s in the booth as the sun starts to go down, whilst Kosoc gets us in the mood for the late stages of the afternoon. Both musically talented in their own right, but also a gift when they’re together, maybe you’ll catch a special dynamic duo appearance?
